Allright boys! and girls!

Looks like we have an abundace of crappy weather for the next couple of weeks. But should clear up then, so what saw we start planning the wrench day we talked about at our last dinner? We'll have a day where everyone brings a bike or two that need some fixin' and we'll all help each other out. Perhaps a BBQ? And then once they're fixed, perhaps a ride????

That sounds great. I could use a hand going over my Honda since I only got it in November.

haha, sweet! we can totally do it at my place if you guys want. it's a bit of a hike for the out of towners, but pretty central for those in toronto. hopefully the weather will have cleared up a bit in a couple weeks.

Yeah... maybe I could find a way to get my moby over from my folks' house and even get it to run again.

HURRRR WHY DOES IT NOT RUN

    IT IS A MYSTERY

I'd love to help people fix their peds. I've got good tools includeing things that others might not have like a torque wrench, a universal circlip tool, timing light, angle grinder, dermil, and lots of electrical stuff (crimper, scope, soldering iron, frequiency counter). I've got a garage, but it is unheated and almost 1/2 full with stuff.

What I really need is someone with a 12mm reamer and a drill press. I also need to borrow bruce's flywheel puller, but I might get that off him at another time.

I believe we have a Revival downtown that doesn't run.

Man, I've reset the timing on it so many times, you can rule that out at least. I also have the full shop manual and the puller (which is the only special tool you 'have to' have).

Right now best guess is something elctrical, perhaps the coil (it was the next thing my dad and I were going to try and replace). It gets fuel and the compression is still quite good, but the spark - while there - is highly questionable. But then, it's a moby... could be ANYTHING.

the ignition timing is critical. Check the resistance of the sparkplug boot. check the resistance of the spark plug wire. try a different spark plug. IF all ok check contacts of points. Is choke functional? By the way. I have micro drill bits for drilling out main jets.
