YES! I think we are! I can't do anything this weekend though, I have my motorcycle training course all weekend. Class starts tonight and then we're riding all day Saturday and Sunday. Can't wait! Of course, I still can't afford to insure my bike once I'm done!!

AND PLEASE NO SQUABBLING ON THIS BLOG. Save it for the Moped Army site guys. This blog is to talk mopeds and plan rides, not to trash each other.

I know Lyndsay. Will the course help you get a better insurance rate?

yeah, it's a big break in insurance. the course costs $400 but every broker i've talked to have said it will be like a $700 break in insurance, so aside from making me less nervous about motorcycles, it will more than pay for itself. i'm looking forward to it, the weather's supposed to be great and i think it will be a lot of fun.

In that case, pay attention young lady! LOL! I took the motorcycle instructors' course at Humber College years ago. I failed it. On one of the manouvers I popped a wheelie, and that's an immediate failure. Where is your course?

haha, i'm too chickenshit to start popping wheelies!! especially since if i drop my bike i don't think i can pick it up!

i'm taking the rti course down at the docks. they have a big place right on cherry street. i've heard a lot of really good things about this course, and they do the m2 test at the end of the weekend so it kills 2 birds with one stone! gotta be there at like 8am saturday and sunday though, i'll see how much i like that!i'm not working at the bar this weekend so i can do it:)

I heard that. The first few hours are probably in class. Be ready for rain. The worst thing is to get caught in the rain unprepared. BTW, we did the course on 125 cc yamaha bikes supplied by school, so it was a lot easier than with bigger bikes. You should have no problems. We'll celebrate later!

Keep your feet on the pegs and the right hand cranked.

yeah they said to bring rain gear and that we will ride rain or shine. they have tons of bikes, from 125s to 500cc buells. they want us to ride a variety, but i think i'll start with the little ones! i would like to try one of the 350s though, with the instructor around, because that's close to mine.

Hi all at this blog.. I guess there's no ride this weekend then?

Well maybe another time. I'm out riding today and maybe even tomorrow evening.

Did the badges or stickers ever materialize or is this now dead. I'd like one for my mope if they're available

    cheers, jan

I know, let's call it "Mothers' Day Ride".
I know I'll be out enjoying my ride.
